Comics Hideout

These were done during my later years in HS for the school paper, circa 1996.  They were originally just inked drawings with no color for the purpose of cheap mass production.  If I remember correctly they were done pretty quickly and inked just as fast.  This was probably due to deadlines of projects and such falling all around the same time.  At least I remember it that...there's also the possibility that I was procrastinating, but I like the latter reason better.  After discovering I had scans of these in my recent scrimmage with my HD I decided to add some life to its grayscale facade.  I'm still experimenting around with Photoshop 5.5., but I'm pleased with the end product.  I'm still a rookie with the program and this would be my first full fledge project with PS.  Things would have gone a lot smoother and faster had I used a tablet instead of my mouse.  I can't afford a tablet of any sorts so its basically the hard way with the mouse...and even then I have an old mouse.  The analog or rolling ball system instead of the more precise optical one.  Yesh, I live up to my starving artist status...scannerless, tabletless, etc.  At the moment there's one one comic colored and the other one I have yet to start on...my apologies with the use of plurals when there's one only comic up.
